Pendleton is located in Anderson County at the north-east tip of Lake Hartwell, just minutes from the lake. It’s bordered by the city of Central to the north and Anderson to the south.

This small town is filled with plenty of historical things to explore. This area is one of upstate SC’s oldest communities, and it’s frequented by people visiting the downtown area as well as nearby Clemson University.

Ready to eat? You’re definitely in the right town. Pendleton has numerous local flavors to enjoy. Outside of the local food trucks you can find downtown, there are several local dining options to choose from.

If you are craving a good rack of ribs (and you often will in the south), make sure to visit the fine folks at The Smokin’ Pig.
