Lake Hartwell Ale Trail
Starting at the south end of the lake, there’s Southern Hart Brewing Company in Hartwell, Ga. For a small town, Southern Hart is a happening place. You’ll find all sorts of activities at this full service restaurant and bar – including a diverse selection of craft brews.
From live music to trivia nights and more, the atmosphere at Southern Hart is upbeat and energetic. Bring the kids, too, as there’s a selection of board games to play while the adults enjoy a beer.

From Hartwell, heading northeast to Anderson you’ll get a selection of some cool places for beer lovers to try. Right downtown you can crawl a few craft beer spots as well as get some great food.

Although it’s not a brewery itself, BREWS on Main is worth a stop to enjoy a crafted selection of beer styles and wine. Whether you’re getting a drink before dinner or just want to try some craft beers, you’ll definitely find something you like at this location.
If you’re looking for a brewery with food, these guys are in a great location to satisfy both your needs. They might even have live music and food trucks to enhance your experience.
