Denver Downs Farm

This Anderson, South Carolina farm is on the National Register of Historic Places and has events happening year-round, making it the perfect place to visit from Lake Hartwell. In the Fall, Denver Downs Farm absolutely comes to life with autumn joy. Friday and Saturday nights are for bonfires from sunset to close. You can enjoy kettle corn, and plenty of other snacks, along with live music while roasting marshmallows. Once the sun goes down, get ready to sing with the Singing Pumpkin Lights! Dance along to pop hits as the pumpkins regale you. The flashlight maze is a special treat. Tread the 10-acre maze in the dark with just a flashlight…if you dare! Little Cane Creek Farm Corn Maze

This Corn Maze is presented by Clemson-Seneca Chik-Fil-A in South Carolina.

They have a 5 Acre Corn Maze that has a new theme each year. They also have play areas for kids with a hay bale maze, spiderweb challenge, slide, and more. When you need a moment off your feet, take a hayride on the tractor. This is included in the price of the corn maze ticket. Plus, those who like gardening will enjoy the opportunity to see their organic garden up close. They also have a pumpkin patch and a sunflower patch. Concessions and an area to picnic are also available. The 2020 Season is October 1st to November 6th. Fridays 6 pm to 10 pm, Saturdays from 11 am to 10 pm, and Sundays from 2 pm to 7 pm.

Washington Farms

Washington Farms, located near Athens, Ga, is a happening place! From September 21st to November 3rd, take a trip from Lake Hartwell with your family and experience an 8.5 Acre Corn Maze that starts with a slide down into it. Every year the maze changes to a different design.

They have a wide variety of activities including Pig Racing, Jump Pillows, a Petting Zoo, Corn Cannons, a Vortex Tunnel, Wagon Rides, Pumpkin Slingshot, a Haybale Mountain, and Campfires.

 

Important Info to Know About Washington Farms

 

The farm is open on Saturdays in the Spring, though there’s no corn maze. They also have Hometown Hero and Teacher Appreciation weekends the 21st and 27th of September, with free admission for veterans and teachers.

 

Hours: Fridays 4 pm to 11 pm, Saturdays from 10 am to 11 pm, and Sundays from 1 pm to 6 pm. On Friday and Saturday, the last ticket is sold at 10 pm.

Uncle Shuck’s

Uncle Shuck’s in Dawsonville has a 13 Acre Corn Maze that opens on September 14th. Included in the ticket: towering goat walk, jumping pad, tire mountain, kiddy maze, corn cannon, wagon ride, and bonfires. There are also face painting, pony rides, and festival food available for purchase.

For those who are extra brave, a haunted maze can be added onto the ticket or purchased separately.

 

Important Info to Know About Uncle Shucks

Open September 12th – November 17th, click here for their hours and rates. Haunted Mazes happen every Friday and Saturday night in October.

 

The Corn Maze is $15 per person, children 4 and under are free. The Haunted Maze is $20 a ticket, or you can purchase both for $25.

Buford Corn Maze

The Buford Corn Maze is a great agriculture destination in Georgia. If you are looking for a corn maze near Lake Hartwell that’s on the way to Atlanta, this is the spot.

Buford Corn Maze has a ton a variety to keep all ages entertained. Hayrides, pony rides, jumping pillows, pumpkins, and a sandbox with corn kernels in it, are just a few of the fun activities at Buford Corn Maze.

Another fun day trip for a corn maze near Lake Hartwell is Do-Si-Jo’s. Do-Si-Jo’s Corn Maze is open to the public on the weekends in Fall. They have a 7-Acre Corn Maze located not far from Newberry.

Five Forks Corn Maze (Closed For 2020)

This corn maze is found close to Lake Hartwell in Hartwell, Georgia. Family owned and operated, this corn maze is known for creating themes based on big events. In 2017, for example, they had a space theme for the eclipse. They do have an area for celebrating birthdays and other celebrations.

Other attractions to check out include:

  1. Gold Mine. Kids can dig in a sandpit for a gold nugget. If they find one, they can turn it in for a dumdum!

  2. Football Throw. Tires are set up to toss a football through, for hours of fun.

  3. A Walking Trail. This trail has the Bigfoot Chair (you’ve got to see it!), a suspension bridge, and ducks to feed.

  4. Pumpkin Bowling. Use a pumpkin to knock over pins!

  5. Hay Trampoline for kids to bounce on.

  6. Giant Jenga to play against friends.
